Hello to all my family and friends. Hoping everyone is in good health and good spirits. Well, July is half over already. WOW! How the time flies so fast as you get older. Every week I say to myself, “I can’t believe it’s Friday already.” When I was working I would say, Thank God it’s Friday!”

I have worked so much in my yard and gardens this year. I am loving it. Oh! I finally quit smoking! It’s the hardest thing in my life to accomplish. It’s a shame when one tiny cigarette can have that much power over us. I know they spray the tobacco with all kinds of insecticides or whatever is in it besides the tar and nicotine.

I hope everyone is keeping safe during this time in our lives. I do know it is so good to see all of you when we’re out and about. Thanks for all of you who are patronizing The Southbend.

Southbend welcomes Aron Aranda to our family. He will be bartending 3 or 4 days a week. In fact, he will be working this Sunday and showing the movie “The Goonies” and afterward you will be able to listen to the tunes from the 80s. So please join and welcome Aron to our Southbend family.

Also, Jennifer Lynn has put together another video of some of our cameo entertainers which will be shown Saturday, July 25th at 6 and 10 pm. This video will cast the stars like Mimi Sharp, Harley Monroe, Viktor Elick, Tracy VonTrapp, Milaye Duplaix, Destiny Gisell, Maja Jera, Robin DeCulture, Riley Poppyseed, Roxie RhodesRHodes, Momo Pleasure, Serena, and Clinica. During the video shows, we will have a tip jar out and it will be split between the entertainers evenly. You will also be able to tip entertainers with CashApp and Venmo. So join the fun and join us daily. We at the Southbend, Val, Bill, and Connie, thank each of you for all your love and support throughout these last nine years.

I can’t wait to cook for you guys again and hope we can get back to some ordinary lifestyle again. I miss kissing and hugging everyone. I’m glad when I can sneak a hug here and there.

Hey! Next time you see or Facebook or email Val and Bill, congratulate them for 30 wonderful years of bliss.

I always tell my friends who have anniversaries, “Congratulations for 30 years. I praise you. I can’t stand myself sometimes for 30 minutes, let alone to be able to be with someone 30 years!”

So, Congrats to Val and Bill and many of our friends out there who are and have been together for quite some time now.

Karen gives a shout out and thanks to everyone who asks about her, who prays for her and to those who have kept in touch with her. Her surgery will be on July 29th. So please keep those prayers and good thoughts coming her way.

I will write another Connie’s Corner soon.

Until then I will leave you with this one last thought: During these trying times in our lives, remember just this, someone else is having a worse time somewhere.

Take good care of yourselves and each other.

Love

Connie
