Hello everyone!
I hope everyone had a good weekend, I had so much fun spending it with family and friends celebrating my sister’s birthday party at Ichiban Japanese Steak House. We retired from there and of course, we had to go right around the corner to Hollywood Casino. Where I proceeded to lose my butt but had a good time. Stop in and visit Karen today and wish her Happy Birthday at Highball.
I’ve been really working in my garden but it sure does seem like fall is right around the corner. I always say that when August gets here when the fair ends and the children go back to school and Labor Day is right around the corner, you know summer is just about over.
I want to congratulate Valerie Valentino for winning Miss Gay Ohio America 2018 at Axis and congratulation to all of the contestants who vied for the title.
This Saturday, August 11th, join us for Cooking with Connie bring your favorite pasta salad by 2:30 judging is at 3 pm! There will be first, second, third place winners! You know pasta salad was originated in Romania if you don’t believe me just ask my son, George. Then the same day from 6 to 9 pm please join the Flamers to help raise money for the team.
Friday, August 17th join us for Al’s Comedy Show starting at 6 pm.
I have been keeping in touch with Kaleidoscope and our youths are getting ready to go back to school and they are all very appreciated for the $1100 we raised for their school supplies and textbooks. I should be meeting with them again by September and will keep you much informed of any developments.
Don’t forget you can come and see me on Monday, Thursday, and Friday and on Thursday you can get a blender drink from noon till 6 pm. I’ve been bringing in fresh seasonal fruit for some delicious blender drinks.
I’ll close now and leave you with this final thought: I’m not really bitter about losing $90 at gambling because what is life, nothing but a gamble. But remember folks when we die we sure can’t take it with us.
